ALEJANDRO HERNÁNDEZ

Scriptwriter

He was born in La Habana in 1970.

He started to work as a scriptwriter in  2001 with the script of “The Cuban Game” cowrited with Manuel Martín Cuenca. In 2005 he premieres “ants in the mouth” by Mariano Barroso and “Habana Blues” by Benito Zambrano. He co-wrote with Manuel Martín Cuenca the scripts of “Bad Seasons” (2006), the TVmovie “The Treasure” (2007), “Half of Oscar” (2011) and “Cannibal” (2013) and the most recent “The Mobile” (filming). Other of his works are the feature films “Eskalofrio“by Isidro Ortíz (2008),”returns“of Luis Avilés 2009,”the best of Eva“(2012) and”All Women“(2013) of Mariano Barroso,” 1889. The last of the Philippines “(2016) of Salvador Calvo,”Brava“(2016) by Roser Aguilar and”The Good Demons“(2018) of Gerardo Chijona.

In television he made the series “All the Women” (2010), the miniseries “Ours” (2015) and “the Father of Cain” (2016).

Winner of a Goya Award to best adapted screenplay by “All Women“has also received the Circle of Film Writers Award for Best Adapted Screenplay and nominations to the Goya and the fierce prizes for the screenplay”cannibal“and the silver Biznaga of the Malaga Festival by”the Good Devils. ”

He is a screenplay professor at the Carlos III University in Madrid, the Madrid Film School (ECAM) and the Prague Film School.
